SxD’s Test User: Occupational, Ability training is accredited and verified by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and meets the standards of competence defined by the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA). Your Assessor will record your qualification with the BPS once you have been judged competent in all areas related to the Test User Occupational, Ability qualification. The BPS will then contact you to progress registration as a Test User. Once a trainee is qualified in both Test User: Occupational, Ability and Test User: Occupational Personality they are additionally eligible for the EFPA European Test User Certificate, Level 2. Full instructions on BPS and EFPA registration are provided during Occupational Test User training courses.

Our Forensic Test User training provides the critical knowledge and practical skills needed to use psychometric measures of personality disorders, mental health and risk. You’ll learn to interpret and use assessments within Forensic contexts, base feedback discussion on results, and prepare test reports for client organizations.
Test User training: Forensic (including Assistant Test User: Forensic) topics include:
- Administering Forensic tests
- Ensuring data confidentiality and protection
- Ability and aptitude assessment
- Measuring personality and personality disorders
- Mental health and risk assessment
- Basic principles of scaling and standardization
- Norm-referenced score interpretation
- Test theory and reliability
- Validity and utility
- Deciding whether or not to use Forensic tests
- Interpreting and using test results
- Developing feedback discussions
- Preparing results reports
Upon completion of the course, you will receive a Certificate of Competence from the BPS for the Test User; Forensic and Assistant Test User: Forensic Test Administration qualifications. For an annually renewable entry fee, you may elect to register on the BPS Register of Qualifications in Test Use (RQTU). At this point you may refer to yourself as a ‘Registered Test User.’
